Hi there-

Art has played an important role in my life for as long as I can remember. Whether it was writing stories or poetry, creating collages, or painting on canvas– the process of creating is woven into who I am. And while in different seasons the ‘what’ I create has never been as important as the process of creating itself.

My educational background is a BA in English from Kennesaw State and a MA with an emphasis in the Creative Arts from Dallas Theological Seminary. For many years painting was pushed aside as I focused on learning how to write well while simultaneously growing a family and thriving in a variety of places. I’ve lived in several places all over the south and for five years in New Delhi, India. This exposure has given me a deep well to draw from creatively.

I love travel, culture, and hospitality and so much of what I create is a reflection of the beauty that I see and experience in nature and community. Even during times of transition when having deep community is challenging, I still believe the best days are the ones when I’m surrounded by my family and friends over a meal.

As a creative, my hope is to bring more beauty into the world through my artwork. I post regularly on instagram, even if this space is sometimes neglected because the hum of life right now is loud and buzzing. I am still on a quest for a ‘style’ of my own right now and love to experiment with color, shape, and texture. Each piece I create is meant to spark joy in the viewer and I hope that you find my artwork does that for you as well.
